I made these on Saturday for my roommates birthday party and they were A HIT!!!! Everyone gathered around the oven to watch me pour the batter into the cones......and waited whiel they were baking. I have anold school double oven, and unfortuantely the bigger oven went bananas that day and the ones on that side needed to bake in the other oven while the other batch was cooling. I had to beat people off with a stick so that they wouldn't touch the done ones!!!!
I attempted to use real ice cream as the "frosting ice cream" and placed it in a piping bag.....didn't work, I had ice cream all over the place!!! We were having a "going back to your childhood/Back to School" party, so it defintely added to the nostalgic factor of it, seeing grown ups with ice cream running down their hands and faces was pretty great!!
Thanks for the great idea, I will defintelt be making them again!
